Energy Price Guarantee (EPG)

HM Government has introduced an Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) which reduces the amount you will be charged per unit of electricity until 31st March 2023. In real terms the EPG will mean an approximate reduction of 55% on the average bill, on our most current tariff.

For Billpay customers: The Energy Price Guarantee has already been applied to your account and you will see the effects on your next bill for your electricity consumption from the 1st of November. You do not need to take any further action.

For Keypad customers: The Energy Price Guarantee will be automatically applied to your account and when you first top up from 26th October you will receive a 40-digit code to enter into your keypad meter. This will adjust the tariff in preparation for the new rate reduction from 1st November 2022. Once you have entered your 40-digit code you do not need to take any further action.

The Energy Bills Support Scheme (EBSS)

We are waiting on further information from the Government on when the £400 Winter Credit Scheme will be rolled out. Once this information is available, we will be in contact. You do not need to take any action.

How the Energy Price Guarantee Works

The Energy Price Guarantee will commence on 1st November ‘22 in Northern Ireland.

The scheme will provide households in Northern Ireland with equivalent financial support with their electricity bill as for those in Great Britain. We will reduce your bills to the unit price as per the table below and you don’t need to take any action to receive this support.
