The Electric Ireland Minor Championships a unique sporting Championship

Electric Ireland GAA ChampionshipsSpring is a special time of year.  The nights get longer, the air is warmer and one of the greatest youth sporting championships in the world gets underway.  Having had a strong working relationship with the GAA over many years, Electric Ireland has sponsored its Minor Championships since 2011 and we are committed to supporting the great work that the organisation does with young people in local communities throughout the island of Ireland.

Where else would you find match attendances of thousands of people for games involving young amateur players of 18 and under?  The passion and commitment of the young footballers and hurlers to achieve success for their County is what makes the Electric Ireland Minor Championships such a success.

Our young players represent the future of the sport, the next generation which will help GAA games grow and develop in the years ahead.   At Electric Ireland we have been focused on nurturing that process, by supporting the exciting sporting opportunities young players have and helping them to balance the demands of their home, school or working lives.

As a leading energy supplier within Northern Ireland and across the island this, and other, sponsorships reflect our values and commitments to the local communities we serve.  Electric Ireland knows the importance of nurturing resources, building sustainability and securing the future of energy throughout Ireland.    The investment we make to ensure the long term security of energy supply has real synergy with our sponsorship and our commitment to support young GAA players as they grow & develop into leaders on and off the sporting field, in the years ahead.
