Cheap and cheerful outings in Belfast for less than £6 per person.
With Christmas fast approaching and lots of gifts to buy, most of us won’t have a lot of spare cash for the finer things in life. On our constant mission to bring Smarter Living to the people of Northern Ireland, we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 things to do in Belfast for less than £6 per person.
Competitive couples listen up, it's about to get crazy! Located at Cityside shopping Centre, Lost City Adventure Golf provides hours of entertainment for couples who love a fun and active date in the city. With prices starting at just £6 for 18+ hole early bird ticket, it's a great day out that's easy on the bank balance.
When it comes to organising a fun-filled day out, it can be hard to find a low budget activity that will suit every member of the family. With dinosaurs, Egyptian mummies, meteorites, fossils and modern masterpieces all in one location, the Ulster Museum has it all. The best part? Entry is absolutely free!
For solo trips
If you’re in the city centre and want to learn more about local history, the Belfast Free Walking Tour is a great way to spend the day. The guided tour leaves Belfast City Hall every day at 11am or 2.30pm on Friday and Saturday. During the walk you will see everything from the Docks and Cathedral Quarter to the City Laneways. While the tour is technically free, the local guides will ask you to tip the amount the tour was worth – in this case, let’s say £6.
For dog lovers
Dogs deserve a day out too and Belfast is the ultimate place to bring them along for the ride. With lots of pet friendly pubs in and around the city, you can enjoy a pint with your furry friend by your side. Our personal favourites are The Dirty Onion, The Bone Yard, Sunflower Bar and Lavery’s Beer Garden.
With these Smarter Living tips for fun on a budget, you can save money while having a great time in the process. To save even more, you can make the switch to Electric Ireland and receive a £100 Tesco voucher.
