Darkness Into Light 2017

Wake up and walk with us from Darkness Into Light
Darkness Into Light: 4.15am, Saturday May 6th, 2017

Starting while it’s still dark at 4.15am on the morning of Saturday May 6th, and finishing as dawn is breaking, Pieta House’s annual Darkness Into Light walks, supported by Electric Ireland, take place in 9 locations in Northern Ireland.

Partnered charities across Northern Ireland include Suicide Awareness NI, PIPS, The Lighthouse, Turning Point NI, Oak Healthy Living Centre, The Hub and HURT. Darkness Into Light has become much more than a fundraiser; it is now a movement which touches the hearts and minds of people throughout Northern Ireland and around the world.

On 6th of May, our light will spread across the world, in over 150 venues on 4 continents, and this year is the biggest for Darkness Into Light here in Northern Ireland. You can find your nearest event and register here.

Starting at 4.15am on Saturday 6th May, participants across Northern Ireland will wake up to help raise awareness of suicide and self-harm on the island of Ireland by walking or running from darkness into light.  Last year, over 300 people died by suicide in Northern Ireland. As proud partner of Darkness Into Light event for the fifth year, Electric Ireland wants people to wake up and support Pieta House and local charities to raise vital funds for suicide prevention, suicide bereavement and self-harm.
