Our Standard Rate Electricity Price Plans Terms and Conditions

These terms are in addition to Our Standard Terms and Conditions of Supply

  • Customers who choose not to pay by direct debit must pay an upfront security deposit of £135.
  • The security deposit will be refunded to your electricity account after 12 months, provided
    all accounts have been paid on time and in full during that period.
  • All Electric Ireland Standard Terms and Conditions of Supply and Codes of Practice apply to this price plan.

Our Keypad Rate Electricity Price Plan Terms and Conditions

Valid from 1st October 2018 until further notice.

These terms are in addition to Our Standard Terms and Conditions of Supply

  • The minimum top up is £5. Increments of £1 are available thereafter. The maximum top up is £150.
  • Extended friendly credit applies to this price plan. If credit runs out on the meter after 4pm the electricity will not be cut off until 11am the following morning or until 11am on Monday morning if credit runs out after 4pm on a Friday.
  • Any emergency credit or extended friendly credit used will be automatically deducted from
    your next top up.
  • If a Pay As You Go Keypad Meter is installed as a result of an outstanding debt, Electric Ireland will apply an agreed percentage to each future top up to recover any arrears on the account until such time as the arrears have been cleared.
  • Installation of a Pay As You Go Keypad Meter is subject to a site survey by NIE Networks to ensure your home wiring is suitable.
