Whether you’re a fan of football or not, there will be no getting away from the World Cup these next few months. However, with a few snacks at hand, the football can be made a fun and exciting occasion for all! Check out our list of top seven snack recipes for World Cup fun with family and friends.

1.Tasty Tapas

From Spanish tortilla to patatas bravas, Spanish stuffed peppers to garlic prawns, BBC Good Food has a few great tapas-inspired recipes to choose from. Team your tapas with a fabulous non-alcoholic sangria for a refreshing half-time drink.

2. French Fancies & Fondue

The French are well known for their delectable eats and we have picked out a few French-inspired savoury and sweet snacks to add to your World Cup snack list. A snack synonymous with the French Alps, camembert fondue and a toasted French stick will whet many appetites when cheering on “Les Bleus”.  For something sweet, try your hand at making a French Fancy from the much-loved baker Mary Berry.

A genius food invention by the Swedes, Swedish Meatballs will make a great half-time dish or tasty snack during the match. Try out the BBC Good Food recipe and feel free to swap pork mince for a beef or veggie mince variation.
