1. How can I top up my keypad meter?

i. Top up online

The first – and easiest - option for our customers is to top up online. This is done by firstly registering your details (to save you from entering them next time) then topping up online. Alternatively, you can top up without registering.

The minimum top up is £5 with increases of £1 thereafter. The maximum top up is £150.   

ii. Top up at your nearest Paypoint outlet.

iii. Call our 24/7 automated keypad top up service on 0345 600 5335.

*Remember to always have your 19-digit keypad number when topping up. This should be located at the front of your keypad meter card.

2. What happens to my account if I’m moving to another address?

It is so important that customers close any existing account before moving into a new home, otherwise energy and electricity will continue to be charged to any account still under your name. Follow our step-by-step guide to ensure this process is as pain-free as possible and you’re not paying for bills unnecessarily.

3. How can I pay my electricity bill?

Pay Online

The easiest and quickest way to pay for a bill is online. Once logged into your account, you can select the option to Make a Payment on the Account Overview page...and it's as simple as that.

Direct Debit

4. How can I switch to Electric Ireland?

We must admit that this is one of our favourite questions! We love welcoming new customers to Electric Ireland and we obviously want to make switching as easy as possible. Our handy online guide takes new customers through a few simple steps to enable them to either switch online or over the phone.

5. Which price plan should I choose when switching?
